Some News

• My MK1 Iron Man is now Level 8, I'll probably max him later this week.

So far I've really enjoyed playing as MK 1 Iron Man. He's fun to jump around the Daily Bugle zone with, he is great in missions... I'll really miss playing as him when I'm back to non-member status. :(

• I finished that annoying Hulk challenge by purchasing Hulk! :D

I also got Elektra by using the Superhero Serum. Now all I have to do is catch 25 chaseable characters! :P

Anyway, nothing much else went on today. Tune in tomorrow to see my Mission Review of Claw and Disorder! :D

New Voice!

I was playing the Annihilus mission today and I noticed a new voice intro! :D
Guess they snuck it in while we were distracted with MK1 Iron Man. :P

While at first I was distracted by the repetitiveness of the voice-work, I've come to enjoy it. I actually have the voice settings changed to highest on my audio settings now. :D

Who's Next?

So far, three Avengers have been released.
Now only two are left in this month's releases.

Will it be Ant-Man or The Vision?
Tell me in the comments below!

Vision Sneak Peek

I'm not a huge fan of The Vision, (yellow, green and RED?! Really!?), but this sneak peek almost makes me want to buy him after all!

Once again thanks to the officially unofficial SHSO wiki, which was created by the guys over at the CBR, (Comic Book Resources), forums. :)

Awesome New Content!

the Front

the Back
You can imagine how surprised I was to find that MK1 Iron Man was available in the store today for no less then 2000 silver! :D

MK1 Iron Man is every mecha fan's dream. I was geeking out over the details like the spinning fan on the back of the suit and the awesome metal boots.

Jetboots! :D
One of my favorite features, though, is his double jump. It completely fits the character and makes it all the more awesome to explore the city with him.
He's an awesome character, and a must buy for Agent Only Members.

Another new thing is the Mole Man mission. I wasn't much of a fan of Mole Man, but I was curious to see how they would incorpararate Giganto, (is that his name?), into the mission.

Immediately upon entering the game I get a nice intro from Thing:

Even though his armor looks unwieldily, Tony's attacks are pretty fast. I like the nod to the movie with his first Power Attack, Flamethrower.

One of the best parts of the mission takes place in a cave with Giganto. Even though Giganto appears earlier, he seems to be at his best here.

The start of the final boss! I wish that they had added an extra stage, but on the other hand it's nice to have another easy, short mission.

Ah... the beauty of the Hero Up...

Mole Man is defeated! Unfortunately, I died once on this mission, but I still got a Gold Medal. :P

All in all, the Mole Man mission is definitely worth buying, mostly due to the short amount of time it takes to complete the mission, and how easy for the most part it is.

One more thing... after defeating a few trouble-bots after I finished the mission, I got a nice surprise...

I'm well on my way of maxxing this guy! :D

Whoever took the image off the wiki put it back up again-- so for the purpose of public distribution, (and just in case they take it off again), here it is! :D

Sunday Mission Review!

Today is Sunday, and it's time for my weekly mission review! Every week I plan to write about tips on the boss fights, things to watch out for, and, of course, the overall difficulty rating.

Today I'll be reviewing... Abomination Obliteration!

Things to Watch Out For: On Stage 2 there's an area that's partially submerged. Four Hydra agents will drop down behind you and trap you. I've died there several times because I found I was trapped and realized too late that there were enemies behind me. Don't make this mistake, and immediately turn around.

Boss Tips:

Abomination is an easy boss because of his Charge attack, which stuns him and is easy to dodge. Follow closely after him. If you haven't already, throw the rubber ducks at him while he's stunned from a distance. If you are attacking him, unless you're on a ranged hero like Jean Grey or Iron Man, run away quickly before his other attacks knock you out.

Difficulty Rating: 4.5/10

Summery: This mission may look hard at first, but once you know you're way around the boss fight, it gets easy. This mission is a bit long for me, I'd probably choose a Green Goblin mission or Annihilus just because they go by so fast. If you smash through the stages quickly on a nice, quick hero like Daredevil, Classic Daredevil, Captain America Super Solider or Hulk, you'll probably get Adamantium.

Next Week: Doc Ock!

How I Earned Gold

Even though I'm a member of this game now, I used to be a non-member. During this time I developed a strategy to collect as much gold as possible, and I thought I'd share some tips with you.

Tip 1: Log On Every Day
Logging on every day means that you get the Daily Reward of five gold. Because whenever you log on, one silver slot will turn to gold, you will get AT LEAST ten gold a day. (You'll get more because silver slots are 2x as much as gold slots, meaning a forty silver slot will change to a twenty gold slot, and a twenty silver slot will change to a ten gold slot, and a ten silver slot will change to a five gold slot).
With seven days in a week, that's 70 gold a week! Not too shabby, and that's not counting all the other slots that might turn over.

Tip 2: DON'T Spin the Wheel Until the Wheel is Nothing But Gold
Why? Think about it. If only one gold slot is on the wheel, you will use up at most two hundred tickets trying to get it! However, if you let all the slots turn to gold and then spend your tickets in a one day frenzy, making sure to leave no gold slot unturned, then your chance of wasting tickets goes down.
This is a common mistake people make when they begin the game.

Tip 3: Set Goals
I know, I know. That's exactly what every financial book ever made says. Does that mean it isn't important? No. Here's why. If you set a goal for, say, Nightcrawler at 600 gold, you will know exactly what you want to buy when you have enough gold to buy it. As a member, I'm constantly making choices about what to buy, because I get 600 gold every four days. That means I sometimes THINK I want to buy a hero, and then another, cooler hero comes along and... oops, out of gold. Here are some good math formulas for you, (don't worry, they aren't complicated). x divided by 70 = the number of weeks it will take to get the hero! X = the amount of gold the hero is. If you wanted Nightcrawler, it will take roughly 8.5 weeks to get him!

Tip 4: Make a List
Another good thing to do is make a big list of all the heroes you want to get. Make sure to include the amount of gold they cost, and then add all their prices together and divide by 70 to see how many weeks it will take you.

I know this sounds frustratingly dull, but remember! Every once in a while they release a few challenges, which occasionally give out gold. Unfortunately to continue the challenges, you will need to level your squad, and with more really simple math we can figure out how many heroes it would take to get one hundred points. (About nine, not counting marvel lore points). Also, it's probably best to ignore how much silver you get, that way you won't spend as much. Be sure not to spend it on HQ items or rooms, a more worthy thing to get is silver missions, (you'll get bored doing the same missions over and over). Another thing you shouldn't do is spend any gold on missions, because most missions are changed to silver about five months after release. I recommend the Annihilation mission, because it's probably the easiest, (more adamantium medals)! The other easy missions are Hit the Bullseye, Bombs Away, Easy Riders and the long, but pretty easy Abomination Obliteration.

HOWEVER, if you give up and decide to buy gold, consider this. For the same amount as a one month membership, you can only buy 1025 gold. However, I figured out that if you get the one month membership, you will earn over 5260 gold. That, plus the added bonus of getting the Member heroes. What I've been doing is buying heroes and only leveling them a little, and maxxing all my Member only heroes, which means I'll have awesome heroes to level when I'm a member so that I can bide my time easier! Also, don't forget to not spend any gold during the last eight days of your membership, which will leave more then enough for you to get two 600 gold heroes later, as a non-member.

Thank you for reading this long piece of text! I'm sorry if you knew this stuff already, and if you didn't, I have one final piece of advice: Wait for sales before buying any heroes to get maximum benefit! That's how I got Spidergirl at only 540 gold!

Awesome Sneak Peeks

I've spotted some truly awesome sneak peeks over the internet about upcoming heroes!

The first:

If you look in the wallpapers section of the official SHSO site, you can spot a strange looking purple guy in the crowd. I think it might be a costume that Iron Man's enemy Ivan Vanko wore. More on that in a second. By the way, the flames are NOT part of Whiplash's head, they come from Super Skrull, who is standing in the background.

This image from Wikipedia confirms that that is definitely Whiplash:

I hope he'll look just as cool as he does in this image! :D

The second:

The official Facebook page of SHSO has an awesome, incredible, amazing, wonderful POSTER THAT SHOWS THE NEW AVENGERS IRONMAN!

While many of you have probably already seen this I thought I'd spread the word.
Unfortunately, they took down the leaked photo of Avengers Thor, otherwise I'd share that with you, HOWEVER...

The third:

Monkey King!

The Lizard!

Mysterio!

These are also really easy to find so sorry if you've seen them before. :)

Anyway, unfortunately that's all I have to show today. Maybe there'll be something tomorrow!
