Avengers Hulk Released!

Two new and very exciting things were just released into the game, Hulk and a new Loki mission that I suspect follows the one you go into Baxtar Plaza to play, but I can't be certain since I have not bought it yet.

Hulk is looking good in this picture of him, much better then in the loading screens, and I will be able to get him in five days. Also, did you see the amount of gold I have? That's right! Tomorrow, I will be able to buy Avengers Iron Man! :D

I Submit a Ticket... About Tickets!

I submitted this ticket today about how SHSO limited the number of tickets you receive if you get adamantium:
"Your decision to limit the number of tickets is, unfortunately, a bad decision. I have played Doc Ock's Claw and Disorder mission 50+ times. Do you think that I should have to play the same missions over and over, except 2x the amount I used to have to play them just to get a decent amount of tickets?! Look, it's hard to get basically everything in-game. You receive a fixed amount of gold each day, there is no other way to receive it. Why would you think limiting the number of tickets you receive would make the game more fun? Don't you think that, Adamantium being a hard medal to get, the players should be properly rewarded? Because of your decision, I am increasingly getting fed up with this game, because there is no good way to earn enough tickets for the day afterwords. If you aren't going to change it back to 18, at least make it 10. Players who are forced to spend more time playing missions over and over to get the same amount of tickets they got for playing two missions will get fed up and move on to a more rewarding game. Just my two cents."
Now it's just a matter of time before somebody bans my account and throws a boot in my face through the screen of my computer for daring to question their genius in limiting tickets.

Sunday Mission Review - Juggernaut

It's time for... my Sunday Mission Review!

Today I'll be reviewing... All for Jugger-naught!

Things to Watch Out For: The spot I usually have trouble around is right about here:

Because of the way you get trapped, it's easy to fall and get stunned over and over. My advice: have a Hero Up available before you tackle this obstacle. Also, there are the Sentinels.

Like I said in my Home Invaders review, just get behind them and keep them from hitting you with their attacks, then Hero Up as soon as you can. Oh, and did I mention the Stompers?
Try to maneuver the enemies underneath them for some pretty sweet results!

Boss Tips:

Most of the boss gameplay involves getting Juggernaut into a greenish circle, and then jumping on a button to make him vulnerable. Fortunately, that's all you need to know to beat him, and, surprisingly, the one thing most people I play with on this mission don't know! So choose your allies carefully.

Difficulty Rating: 4/10

Summery:

You'd think this mission would be harder, but it seems like it's all how you look at it, since this mission rates a 4 on my scale of difficulty! Some things like super crush-bots, sentinels, several frustrating Juggernaut attacks, among other things make this mission easy, but with enough risk to make it fun.

Next Week: Ock it to Me!

My Avengers Review

First, the question you've probably been asking: is it awesome?
Actually, you can't have been asking that question. Because the answer is obvious.

YES!!!!!!

Alright then. I'm breaking up my review into two parts, Characters and Action. And, just in case you're anxious, this review is 100% spoiler free.

Let's begin, shall we?

CHARACTERS

IRONMAN

Ironman continues his genius billionaire playboy philanthropist ways from where he left off in Ironman 2. There's a lot of back and forth between him and several members of the team and some of the funniest lines come from him. Although I'm not a huge Ironman fan, (yes, I DID geek out and go crazy when I first played as MK1 Ironman, but that's different), he started growing on me about halfway through the film.

THOR

Thor seems rather neglected in the film, (aww, poor Thor!), even though others have said it is Hawkeye who gets the least screen time. Thor and Loki's conflict is explored in this film, but it's only briefly touched on because of all the other stuff that's going on.

CAPTAIN AMERICA

Steve has many cool character moments during this film, but I felt like there wasn't enough of him getting used to the future. That's probably because that's the issue that will mainly be explored in Cap 2, but I still think it could have been implemented more in this movie. Steve also seems like a real leader here, giving the team orders and jumping into action with his shield.

BLACK WIDOW

Black Widow comes off as more of a Russian in this film than she did in Ironman 2. She is actually one of the characters with the most screen time, and that's probably for the best. Scarlett Johansson does the character justice, and all of her lines are well delivered.

HAWKEYE

While people say that Hawkeye is the most neglected characters in the movie, I disagree. Hakeye has many special moments, and I loved all of them because Hawkeye is actually my favorite Avenger in the film. Despite lacking depth and motivation, (the script's fault, NOT actor Jeremy Renner's, who gave a great performance), Hawkeye has some of the best action shots in the film. Like the one where he— oops! Sorry! Spoilers!

HULK

Does Hulk say "Hulk Smash"? Can't tell you, 'cause it's a spoiler.
What I CAN tell you is that Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner is great! And in the scenes where he's Your Friendly Neighborhood Giant Green Rage Monster, there's plenty of Hulk smash to go around.

LOKI

Tom Hiddleston does a great job portraying one of the greatest villains I've ever seen on-screen. Loki's goals have shifted from ruining Thor's life to ruining everybody's life. I can't give away much, but as you can gather from the trailer, he has an army. But the Avengers have a Hulk.

NICK FURY

Samuel L. Jackson says every line just the way Nick Fury would say it. And why shouldn't he? In the recent movie adaptations of the comics, Samuel has become Nick Fury. In my opinion, he turned a good character into a great one.

ACTION

I've seen a few reviews that say "Don't worry, even in this conversation-filled comic book based movie, there is some action!"

WHADDAYA MEAN THERE'S "SOME" ACTION?!?!
This is, fundamentally, an action movie. Every other scene is an action scene! The action scenes in this movie made me so excited I was shaking, (or I just had too much sugar before seeing the movie...)!

And now, for the age old question:

2D or 3D?

Well, I watched it in 3D, (I arrived at the theater too late to watch it in 2D), and it's one of the best 3D movies I've seen! I almost can't believe it was converted later! The later fight scenes look especially good in 3D. If you cant stand 3D, feel free to watch it in 2D, but when I watched it in 3D I really felt like it enhanced the experience in this case.

Well, that's it for my movie review of the Avengers!
Keep checking this blog for updates as more Avengers are released into the game!

An Enormous Update

Downloading this morning took WAAAAY too long. Fortunately, there was a reason. Loki had taken over the Daily Bugle zone and the Baxter Plaza zone!

Loki now has control of three zones! Gadzooks!

Not only that, but Avengers Thor was released today for 600 gold, and I bought him faster then you could say "God of Thunder!"

Unfortunately the steep price of Iron Man was too high for me, at least for today, but I will be getting him soon.

Aw man! Maybe next week! :(

See those damaged bricks? The Daily Bugle zone is in chaos!

I must say, the computer graphics guys at the Amazing Soceity are really good! They managed to really make it seem like a gigantic battle had taken place!

Baxter Plaza isn't looking too good right now either! There are S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents everywhere, and the Casket of Ancient Winters has been opened, freezing everything and everyone!

Maria Hill? Or just a random female S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent?

Speaking of the Casket, there's a new mission!

And yeah, it's awesome.

Yeah. It's incredible. Just go play it for crying out loud! It's amazing, spectacular, and ultimate!
And now, for my Thor review.

Avengers Thor

---

EXPLORATION

Thor is his usual, flying, normal jumping self. I wish they had added something new, like a double jump, but a fanboy can only dream.

I give his EXPLORATION 2.2/5

FIGHTING

Thor has normal speed, powerful attacks. I won't deny how fun it is to smash through baddies as Thor! His power up is like Cap's, and I'm willing to bet that most if not all new Avengers characters will have similar Hero Ups.

I give his FIGHTING 3.5/5!

COOL FACTOR

This Thor is my favorite out of all of them so far. His armor looks awesome, (loving the chain-mail!), his hammer looks awesome, (loving the metallic surface!), even his boots look awesome for nordic god's sake! Just go get him already! :D

I give his COOL FACTOR 4.1/5!

Some other small updates!
For one, Spiderman has a new voice! While it may be disconcerting at first, I got used to it pretty quick. Second, thanks to you guys, I will be publishing my review of The Avengers on this blog! Stay tuned for that on Friday or Saturday, but probably Saturday.

A Little Bit of News

Good news! The customer support over at Gazillion and the Amazing Society have replied to my tickets and it seems like a fix will be coming in the future! :D

In other news, Reptil is new Level 10. I don't know why everyone seems to hate him, he's a great fighter and it's pretty fun to play as a hero with a tail!
Anyway, I hope that tomorrow will be the new Avenger release, but it's more likely that it will be Friday.

That's about all for today!

Submitting Tickets

When I log on each day to play SHSO, for some reason letters are missing from my hero's name-tag, and numbers missing from the prize wheel's number counter. It may just be my slow Mac, but it's definitely a problem, and it sometimes screws up my gameplay.

If you have had this problem, tell me about it in the comments!
And remember, fellow heroes: it is our job to help keep gamer's gameplay as clean as Jim Carrey's teeth. So when you spot a bug or a problem, report it by submitting a ticket, which you can do by clicking here!
Log in, click the help button, click the "Submit a Ticket" button, and then fill out the form!
